Vanilla Minecraft describes styled text as a JSON "text component", the structure behind /tellraw, /title, sign and book NBT, boss bars and datapacks. Writing it by hand is error-prone: one missing brace or wrong quote and the command fails silently. Style your text visually here and copy a valid component instead. Switch to the /tellraw pill for a complete, ready-to-run command, or the JSON pill for just the raw component to drop into a datapack or NBT field. Because the component format changed in 1.21.5 (JSON gave way to SNBT for many commands), there's a version selector so you copy the right syntax for your Minecraft version.

From 1.21.5 many commands expect SNBT instead of quoted JSON. Use the version selector to switch, the tool outputs the correct syntax for your version.
